"Springtime Fishing" Painted from my own hand-drawn design on 9x12 Canvas in Genesis Heat-Set Oils Painted for son, Bryan, an avid fisherman. Bryan had had the opportunity to watch me paint everyone else's and as I said, he put in the request to Mama for his own painted piece on late Saturday afternoon. I wanted something special for him too and quickly drew up this little fishing scene in hopes it would remind him in the midst of these 6 & 7 foot tall snowbanks outside from our recent blizzard ... that Spring will soon be here and with it, fishing time once again! This painting pleased me because it's my own hand-drawn design (a first for me as I tend to do them on computer first). Perspective is NOT my forte but it didn't turn out too terribly badly, I thought, and especially considering I did it in about 4 hours. LOL |
