Genesis Rose

This design is my own and the piece is painted in Genesis Heat-Set Oils.

It was painted for the October Challenge at the Luv21Stroke Yahoo Group which I recently was invited to join.  Although I don't do the One Stroke method, group owner, Sheri Spencer allowed me to participate in the group's challenge with my Genesis Paints. 

I canNOT begin to tell you how challenged I was with painting white! This rose was literally painted 3 times and this is the "I give UP!" end result.  There is no way to highlight white and I just feel it's missing something very badly, sadly.  *weeping*   There is SO much to learn ... hopefully I'll find answers to this white rose dilemma soon.  lol

I think I could more successfully have painted it with the OS method ... a technique which I have never learned either!!  lol
