My Lighthouse A mix of both traditional oils and Genesis Paints ... shhhh ... don't tell the professionals! I had started out in the traditional oils but life got in the way and I felt it wasn't prudent to try to complete it in oils; however, I wanted to get the project done. I asked Tracy Moreau, a Genesis teacher, if I could finish it in the Genesis paints since the oils were dry to the touch. She made no promises but suggested I could try to seal it with a layer of Final Coat and see what happens. This is the result of that experiment and is officially going to be classified as my fifth project in Genesis Paints. I found more challenges in painting on this small size of canvas board more than with manipulating the paint or the image details. And speaking of colour palettes -- my painting is different than this picture shows ... I cannot get it to photograph or scan in true colour palette to save my life. *sigh* This is as close as we can get. The pattern is called
