FINI

FINI is our Faux Finishing Glazing Medium. It is also very useful as an extender, and float medium. Keep an eggcup full of FINI next to you while painting. Keep a container of clean water to rinse your brushes with! Rinse your brushes frequently in water but when loading or thinning paint, use the FINI.

For Floating, it is IDEAL. Simply dip the brush in FINI (instead of water) side load your shader (or filbert) with paint ... work the brush back and forth until a smooth transition of colour is achieved … then FLOAT! You should be able to pull the float the entire distance with no stop and start marks. Nothing but a smooth even Float! (Excellent for beginners to get the feel of floating.) It also makes WALKING a float much easier.

Use FINI to thin your paint instead of water ... thinning with water compromises the durability of the paint as well as reducing the density of the pigment. By using FINI, one can thin the paint AND maintain its strength and colour intensity. (I find I have to reload the brush much less than usual. I have filled half of an 8-1/2 x 11 inch sheet of paper with comma strokes with a single brush load. The colour never faded out … I just eventually just ran out of paint.) This is fantastic for painting fine lines or tiny tendrils and vines.

One of the biggest benefits to using FINI over water is, its leveling properties. Paint thinned out with FINI retains fewer brush marks, leaving the painter with a smooth even surface to finish with Final Coat.

For Stenciling, FINI is fantastic! Use it with your regular acrylics. Moisten a small cloth (Cotton T-shirt) with FINI, in an empty paint bottle mix several drops of paint in your choice of colour, add an ounce or two of FINI and shake well. Pour a small amount of the tinted Fini into your moistened Cloth. The cloth should be wet but not saturated.

To apply the colour, simply wipe from the outside edge into the centre of the motif! You can continue to apply colour in layers, or allow the Motif to dry with the stencil in place then repeat using another colour to create special effects.

For example: the Blossom area of a given motif is done using two quick coats of Gooseberry Pink. At the base of the Petals where the stem joins, lightly rub upwards toward the tips of the petals with cranberry wine, this will create a nice shaded area. To create a touch of light on the tips of the petals, repeat the process working down towards the base of the petals with White Pearl. (Base coat, shade and highlight with out moving the stencil!

Once you have used FINI instead of water when you paint. You will never go back to using water!

The Most revolutionary Extender you have ever used!
