Time Flies ...

even when you're not having fun.

How bizarre to realize my last post was on October 13, 2013 and titled "Time is Running Out!" ... and this one, so many months later, is "Time Flies!".

Life took an unexpected, downward spill in October and shortly after my last post, I was pretty much out for the count in terms of social activity, creativity and really, life in general.

I can't and won't go into all the details as its not really my story to tell ... but suffice it to say there are times I have questioned one of the gifts God has granted me and this time I not only questioned it but I harshly berated, cried and screamed at Him sometimes for it landed me smack in the start, middle and ongoing end to the story.

But I survived ... even if not fully intact in all areas.

And so ... I'm back ... and even arting a little!

I am so blessed with an understanding husband and loving family, friends and acquaintances ... some who were prayer warriors during the worst of it ... and others who quietly started activity to lift, pull and drag me up and back to my chair and encourage me to once again find joy in their companionship and my art.  I cherish each and every one of you ... and praise God for that special gift of your love, friendship and devotion to me and each other.

I've not done much art as I lost my comfy computer chair when we rearranged our bedroom for papa's homecoming from Hospital in January after surgery on his abdominal aortic aneurism.  He's doing very well - thank you!  :-)   I can manage about a 30-45 minutes though in this chair and have enjoyed a little of the 52 Weeks Art Card journey started by my friend, Kelly Hoernig, with the art aMUSEment group!  An index sized card of art -- how easy and how fun, based on a key word given each week!  One can put as much or as little into it as desired but everyone can find time for a wee bit of fun in their busy lives each week and this fits the bill !!

Key Word was POUCH - my angel sits in a pouch
Key word was KEY

  1. These are exquisite and I am so glad that you are doing better. You are always in my heart and prayers. <3

  2. I am glad that Papa is home. I, too, have not been into the social media thing as much lately, so didn't know the turmoil you were facing. I am sorry that I wasn't there for your, but, now, will include both you and Papa in my daily prayers, Von. A little art is better than no art at all, so a slow beginning is ok...and in your case here, much better than must ok! You are back with renewed energy! You go, Girl!

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving your comment! I appreciate both. :-)
